Colorwork Fun Blog Hop Day 4: The Willow Floral Granny Square

When I first heard the idea for this hop from Melanie, I was so excited about it! Crochet is one of those crafts where you can really let your creativity shine, and using colour is such a fun way to do that!

So all throughout the month of July, check the main hop page over on Simple Melanie Jane and if you can’t get enough, there’s a bundle available with all of these patterns included!

When we originally designed this granny square, it was for a dog coat. If you’ve been around here for a while you already know how much we love making things for our dog, Nacho, so naturally that was our go-to. You however, can stitch these little guys into anything you want! A cardigan, a market bag, a bucket hat – or you know, a dog coat!

Switching up the colours in this fun little granny square can change the vibe of the finished project so you can use it for so many different things. Go bold and make a cardigan, or go with neutrals and make a cute market bag! Full step by step instructions are available right here on the blog to help you along – Willow Granny Square Dog Coat, and click below for the free PDF.
